Doctoral Committee

The Doctoral Committee at D-MTEC is composed of at least three professors and a representative of the Association of Scientific Staff elected by the Department Conference.

The Doctoral Committee reviews requests for admission to the programme, deadline extensions, ECTS credits, ETH re-entry, and external dissertations. Furthermore, it appoints the chair of the Aptitude Colloquium and reviews the nominations of co-examiners who are not professors at ETH Zurich. It also evaluates the doctoral theses nominated for the ETH Medal. The Doctoral Committee issues the guidelines and requirements for the doctorate at D-MTEC.
