Performance Assessments

At ETH, there exist three types of performance assessments. During your studies at D-MTEC most are end-of-semester examinations, held shortly after the end of the lecture periods.

Types of performance assessment

End-of-semester examinations are department-specific performance assessments held at the beginning of the semester vacation. As end-of-semester examination are planned by the department, their dates are not displayed in myStudies. The corresponding examination schedule is instead published here in due time.

Session examinations are is carried out twice a year. After registering, the schedule for the session examinations is displayed in myStudies. Not all session examinations can be chosen each session.

Semester performances are graded or ungraded assessments during the semester or as part of irregular courses such as block courses.
