MSc ETH MTEC Graduates 2016: Congratulations!
On May 27, 2016 our graduates celebrated the successful completion of their Master’s degree studies. We congratulate all 55 graduates and wish them all the best for their professional career and private life.
About 200 graduates, family members, friends and faculty members joined the celebrations accompanying the official Master's degree graduation ceremony. Congratulations were also conveyed by key note speaker Antoinette Hunziker-Ebneter, CEO of Forma Futura Invest AG, who contributed an impressive key note on how she aligned personal and professional values. In a second energising speech MSc MTEC graduate Katharina Tomaschek shared the experiences and impressions she gathered during her studies with the audience.
The Master's degree graduation ceremony was also the occasion to honour outstanding Master’s theses and study performances: The department awarded an ETH Medal for the best Master’s Thesis to Lukas Ambühl and Léo Chavaz. The Willi Studer Prize for the best overall study performance, indicated by the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) was awarded to Cédéric Stutz. Congratulations to all award winners!
Towards the end of the ceremony, the MTEC student organisation OBIS officially bid farewell to the graduates. OBIS Alumni Relations Manager Gabriel Poritz invited the graduates to keep in touch with ETH MTEC and introduced them into the manifold options. Nicolas Rohner, President of ETH Alumni in Engineering & Management EAEM, welcomed all graduates as ETH Alumni and reported on the new opportunities to engage with EAEM. Among others, EAEM organises an outstanding series of company visits open for both Alumni and MSc MTEC students.
Finally, the department invited the graduates and their family and friends to the roof terrace on top of the ETH main building for drinks and snacks. The space provided a majestic view on Lake Zurich and the Alps and the golden glow of the evening sun added to the perfect finish of the journey towards their well-deserved graduation. Congratulations!
