Internship
The internship is an excellent opportunity to touch base with the job market and gain exposure to specific professional environments.
Internships allow our students to gain first-hand knowledge about and experience in specific industries and corporate cultures. Lessons learned in the classroom can be directly applied in the real world. Internships also enable our students to identify their strengths and weaknesses, explore different career options and develop their networks in business and society. This is why an internship is compulsory at D-MTEC.
The mandatory internship lasts at least 10 weeks and can be carried out in Switzerland or abroad, in a company or a non-profit organization, according to the orientation and career objectives of the student. Additional voluntary internships are possible.
Before starting the internship, D-MTEC students need to register via the protected pageMTEC Internship Platform, lock which also provides guidance on internship options and additional information.
Upon submission of a brief internship report, the internship earns 6 CP. If not successfully completed, it can be repeated once.
